Principal's Message 8 April 2021
I'm relieved that the Year 7 and Year 8 camps are finally underway and that they have not had to be further delayed. It makes having to negotiate the additional challenge that the late change to the end of term dates presented, worthwhile. I take this opportunity to thank the parent community for accepting the added inconvenience these three days may have caused with such grace and to express my gratitude. I pray that the revised bus arrangements have helped minimise some inconvenience.
Next Term sees the introduction of the new winter uniform. For Year 11 and 12 students, the only change is the availability of monogrammed white shirts and better-tailored shirts for females. Year 7 to 10 males also have minimal change with the availability of monogrammed blue shirts and a new, plain navy tie. Year 7 to 10 females also have better-tailored, monogrammed shirts available together with the new plain, navy tie, but also have a skirt in the new fabric and pattern.
Supply problems have seen a delay in the availability of the new plain navy tie for Year 7 to 10 students, however, they are expected next week. Please note that there is a transition period where students may wear the old winter uniform if it still fits, however, we would like everyone to wear the new tie. As an incentive to wear the uniform well and with pride, we will be presenting a new tie to every student in Years 7 to 10, free of charge.
The uniform shop will be open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Tuesday 20 April and Thursday 22 April, as well as from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Monday 26 April before resuming normal in-Term hours on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm from Tuesday 27 April.
I trust that families had an enjoyable Easter. Our Term ends this Friday and recommences on Monday 26 April. Note that this is different to Government schools who are already on holiday but return three days before us in what is our second week of Term break.
May God bless you and keep you safe and happy.
