Friday 22nd May at 7pm SBSC will be hosting a ZOOM Virtual Trivia Night. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, and prizes for between round challenges. Students, staff and their households are warmly invited to participate :)

Enrolment interviews for Year 7 enrolments for 2021 are underway.
Due to Covid 19 we will not be holding interviews in person. We will be contacting families who have filled in an enrolment form for an enrolment interview with you and your child via video conference.

Young Tasmanian Writers Prize 2020: A short fiction competition open to all Tasmanians enrolled in Years 7-12.
Run in partnership with the Tasmanian Association for the Teaching of English (TATE)
Closing Date: Thursday, July 30, 2020
Fee: $8 per story
Junior Section Year 7–9 students
Theme: One of the following – ‘Connection’ OR ‘Country’.
Entrants are encouraged to interpret the themes freely and imaginatively.
LENGTH: 700–1000 words
Senior Section Year 10–12 students
Theme: One of the following – ‘Isolation’ OR ‘Island’.
Entrants are encouraged to interpret the themes freely and imaginatively.
LENGTH: 800–1500 words
PRIZES:
Winner of each section: $300 and publication in Forty South magazine
Two runners-up per section receive a $30 Fullers bookshop gift voucher each.
The Peter Sharp Memorial Award is awarded in the Junior Section. The prize money of $100 is generously donated by Penny Lane.
