Senior Secondary College ball - Devonport Country Club
I have been at Catholic Education Tasmania meetings this week and have been inspired by a team from the Canberra Goulburn Catholic Education Office invited to present to us. I am keen to get back to school to discuss with the School Leadership Team how we can refine the high-impact teaching in our classrooms. The meetings began with the choir from the school hosting us, and I reflected upon how proud the parents of these children should be. This was followed by the prayer that I share below. It resonated with me, and I share it here to sustain us as we meet the challenge and reap the joy of raising our children.
Do you think St Brendan-Shaw College is the right option for your family but haven't had the opportunity to visit? If you would like to learn more about our College programs and facilities, we invite you to join us on Saturday 22 June, at 10:30am for a College tour. Any questions, please contact us on 6424 7622
Next Thursday 1st September SBSC will be hosting the annual University of Tasmania’s Ossa Music Prize and People’s Choice Award concert.
Any music students who wish to attend the concert must email Mr Peters at gpeters@sbsc.tas.edu.au by next Tuesday the 30th of August to secure a seat at the concert.
This year the Ossa Music Prize was won by two UTAS students. Sophia Mitchell and Jamie Willson impressed the judges with their amalgamation of French horn and percussion (specifically vibraphone, marimba and junk percussion) in a chamber ensemble not commonly seen in a performance together.
