A child's future is shaped by their experiences today. School is a pathway that determines what they do, where they go, and how they get there. A St Brendan-Shaw College Scholarship can allow your child to develop their education and talents and thrive.
Each year, St Brendan-Shaw College offers outstanding young adults the opportunity to apply for a Scholarship. As part of the Scholarship program, students will receive part remission (50%) of tuition fees.
Enrolment Scholarships | New Students (Years 8-12) in 2025
Applications close on Friday 1 November 2024, at 4:00pm.
Scholarships are designed to provide opportunities to students who are academically well-rounded and who embody College values. As such, the successful applicant must be motivated to join our values-based community and fully involve themselves in the life of the College.
For Enrolment Scholarships, it is a requirement that an Application for Enrolment at St Brendan-Shaw College is submitted prior to lodging a Scholarship Application.
The Scholarship candidates will be selected based on the assessment of the following criteria where appropriate:
Scholarships come in the form of part remission of tuition fees. Scholarships are 50% of tuition fees. In some instances, Scholarships of lesser value may be offered. The School reserves the right to withhold a Scholarship (in any Year or discipline) if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. Current fees at St Brendan-Shaw College can be found at: www.sbsc.tas.edu.au/enrolments/fees-and-finance
Scholarships are subject to an annual formal review by the College in light of progress, performance, and attitude of the holder. It should be noted, however, that holders of scholarships could normally expect the scholarship to continue for the remainder of their education at the College.
This varies from year to year. Approximately 10 Scholarships are offered across the areas of Academic, Music, Leadership, Art, and Sport.
A letter or email will notify candidates of their application status as soon as possible.
All questions regarding scholarships can be directed to the Enrolment Registrar by phone on 03 6424 7622 or email at enrolments@sbsc.tas.edu.au.
